Last season Smallville was filled with twists and surprises, starting with the disappearance of Lex Luthor. However, someone quickly arrived to take his place – the enticing Tess Mercer. As Tess maneuvered her way through town, she flirted with her old flame Oliver Queen, discovered Clark’s true identity and unleashed a new world of danger. Clark also met his greatest match: Doomsday. When Clark wasn’t busy battling the beast, he was knee-deep in work at the Daily Planet. As Clark’s persona as the cub Planet reporter emerged, so did his feelings for Lois Lane, the fated love of his life.
