GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) - A Georgetown man has been sentenced to 18 months in jail after police said he posed as actor Tommy Lee Jones' representative and acquired thousands in clothing donations for his supposed client.
In September 2009, police said Michael Tissier, 21, contacted the owner of NSF Clothing Inc. claiming to be an employee at Sony Entertainment. Tissier allegedly said he needed a donation of clothing for Tommy Lee Jones to wear at an upcoming fundraising event as well as for the filming of "Men in Black III."
NSF owner Nick Friedberg contacted police after becoming suspicious of Tissier.
A Williamson County judge convicted Tissier after he pleaded guilty. He is not eligible for parole.
