Vampires Rule the Night at the Teen Choice Awards

The Teen Choice Awards are known for recognizing the talents of everything teens love. As a twist on regular awards shows, the Teen Choice Awards come in the form of surfboards. After a stellar season this year, the cast of The Vampire Diaries are riding the waves of success with their six Teen Choice Awards.

The Vampire Diaries was named the winner of Choice TV Show in the Fantasy/Sci-Fi category with Candice Accola and Michael Trevino winning the appropriately-named Scene Stealer awards. Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev were named Choice TV Actor and Actress in the Fantasy/Sci-Fi category with Somerhalder also taking home a surfboard as the Choice Male Hottie.
