The judges' panel during the live audition is looking for key qualities that would make a great CW Austin Star. Each contestant is asked to read scripts, do impromptu promos, and answer questions from the panel.
Qualities that are factored into the judges' decision include: confidence, personality, appearance, on-camera presence, likability factor, relevance to young demographics, enthusiasm and overall ability to communicate and follow direction.
The final selection process for the winner is determined by a combination of judging panel votes, online votes, background checks and station management input. In 2012, you should expect to see the TOP FIVE finalists asked to complete tasks including but not limited to blogging, event hosting, social media and on camera work.
