The CW Star Contest is Underway

AUSTIN, Tx (KNVA) - The five CW Star finalists in the running to become the next CW Star are Mandy Dugan, Sage Lee, Julia Stempko, Craig Ries and audience-choice winner Angelica Davis.

The 5 finalists are now particpating in 4 different on-camera assignments to test their on-air abilities. Your votes and their performances will decide who will be the best 2011 CW Austin Star!

With each assignment, there will be new videos for each finalist. Be sure to keep checking back to see the latest and vote for your favorite!

Assignment #1: Man on the Street. This is a test to see how comfortable they are talking to you the viewer. We send them out to the streets for some non-scripted interviews and talking to the public.

Assignment #2: The Make-Over. Yep that’s right. The finalists go to Evie Evan Studios. See the before and after pictures, plus see how they take directions!

Assignment #3: T he Interview. How will they do with a one-on-one interview? Let’s bring in the Texas Stars Hockey team and find out!

Assignment #4: The Studio Shoot. The finalists' last assignment…see how they do in front of the camera with a teleprompter and no audience!

In the end, there can only be one 2011 CW Star! Not only will this year’s winner get a year contract with The CW Austin, the new star will also receive a 3 year modeling contract with Wilhelmina Brown.
