Sunday Funday, Day 2 of AFW

On Sunday, Aug 15th we started the day off at The “Keep Austin Beautiful Fashion Show” at the Austin Museum of Art Downtown.

The runway consisted of local designers who created wearable works of art, all from recycled materials!
Who knew that a person could create such cool clothing with what most people consider trash! Believe me, from now on, I’ll think twice about saying, “I can’t find anything to wear.”

Following the “Keep Austin Beautiful Fashion Show” we went over to the Studio Beauty Party at Pearl Hair & Make-Up. Their Zoolander theme was a nice change of pace from the runways shows. I mean, who doesn’t love having a few cocktails and playing dress up?

Once I took off my wigs, it was back to the runway at The Belmont for “Fashions Most Wanted” where we saw the looks of The Yoshimi Collection by the notorious Amanda Fay, a local green designer.
Not only did she create everything that was shown on the runway, she produced the entire night!

Now…That’s was what I call a “Sunday Funday!”
