Monday Mania, Day 3 of AFW

On Monday August 16, we checked out what type of fashion events the East Side of Austin had to offer!

Our first stop at a unique cocktail party at Eye Candy Photography, hosted by Cory Ryan and Martha Lynn Barns.

This party had it all! The Inglenook Décor created the ambiance of the event giving it a modern day, shabby sheek feel. Not only was there a candy bar and complimentary cocktails by Viejo de Luis tequila, but there were cupcakes by L’s Cupcakes, a photo boot, and a Fortune Teller! And yes, I did have my cards read, but what was revealed….ill keep that to myself!

After talking to Martha Lynn Barns, who later in the week won the Golden Boot for “Peoples Choice, Best Hair-Stylist,” I went across the street to Jewelry designer, Dean Fredrick’s Fashion Week Party.

At Dean Fredrick – The Heist, the first 100 people to arrive at the party received a bag with a little diamond in it. But, only one bag had an actual diamond in it. Sadly, I wasn’t the lucky winner.

Following the diamond drawing the guest were treated to “The Heist,” a movie that was created just for the event featuring the members of the band LAX and Dean Fredrick himself.
