The Ryan Reynolds flick, BURIED caused a stir at this year’s Fantastic Fest. Not only did the film open the festival with a red carpet gala and screening at the Paramount Theater, it was also part of the Alamo Draft House’s “Rolling Road Show!”

In BURIED, Ryan Reynolds plays Paul Conroy, an American Truck Diver on assignment in Iraq, who wakes up to find himself buried alive in a wooden coffin with only a cell phone. We watch as he makes a desperate attempt to be rescued before he runs out of oxygen.

As I watched the film, I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat. I started breathing hard as if I was the one gasping for air. It wasn’t until the end of the movie that I actually realized that the entire 90 minuets of the film were shot from inside a box and only featured one actor…Ryan Reynolds! I was so impressed! I couldn’t wait to get on the red carpet and ask him what it was like to film a movie where he was in a box the entire time.

In celebration of BURIED opening fantastic fest, the festival presented the movie as part of their “Rolling Roadshow.” This was not your average “Rolling Roadshow” which features famous movies in famous places. This “Rolling Roadshow of One” went beyond the bounds of sanity by enlisting four souls to view the entire film while buried! The four lucky contestants that made it through the screening walked the red carpet at the BURIED gala to talk about their experience.

Take a look as I talk to the founder of Fantastic Fest, Tim League, Ryan Reynolds, and the four lucky contestants that were buried alive!
