The newest addition to these years Fantastic Fest was Fantastic Arcade, a gamer’s paradise which was truly fantastic.
When I walked into the Highball it was sensory overload! Sounds, images and lights were bouncing all over the place. There was energy in the air that could bring out a competitive spirit in the most reserved of people.
Fantastic Arcade had the feel of an old school arcade with a new school twist. With everything from refurbished Atari games to brand new independent games, Fantastic Arcade had something for everyone.
Another hit at the Arcade was their incredible tournaments! People came from all around to compete for the title of Guitar Hero Champion. These people were amazing; can you move your fingers like this?
In addition to watching the competitors rock out to guitar hero, we talked to John Gross about Fantastic Arcade and Joshua Driggs about the map of Left 4 Dead that he created exclusively for Fantastic Arcade.
