One Man's Trash Is another Man's…Wardrobe?

On Sunday, August 15th I went to an event that made me think of Trash, in a whole new light.

The “Keep Austin Beautiful Fashion Show” at the Austin Museum of Art Downtown was the most unique fashion show that I have ever seen.

The runway consisted of local designers who created wearable works of art, all from recycled materials! Keep Austin Beautiful provided the designers with recycled materials like plastic bags, inner tubes, computer parts, and more!

Who knew that a person could create such cool clothing with what most people consider trash! Believe me, from now on, I’ll think twice about saying, “I can’t find anything to wear.”

Check out what these incredible designers came up with!
