Austin Fashion Week 2011

The 3rd Annual Austin Fashion Week announcements have been made and it looks like this week is going to be a fabulous fest of fashion!
Festivities will start with a bang or should I say an engine roar on August 20th with the “Style, Speed & Glory” kick off party at the Cowboy Harley- Davidson Showroom ! Talk about edgy and glam, this 53,000 sq. ft. space will be set up with a catwalk where models will strut the sexiest looks from Betsey Johnson and MotorClothes by Harley-Davidson. We’ll also get to see friendly competition between some of the most fashionably minded in Austin. An apparel designer, accessories designer, photographer, hairstylist, makeup artist, and model will mash up one innovative look to sashay down the runway to the musical sounds of LC Rocks . Wednesday, August 24: South Austin
Thursday, August 25: 2nd Street District
Friday, August 26: North Austin      

Each night will be filled with anticipation and excitement as AFW presents some of the best emerging talent from near and far at the The Driskell Hotel ! We’ll wrap a week of beauty and glamor with the Austin Fashion Awards presented by Sono Bello ! The coveted Golden Boot Awards will be presented to winners of the People’s Choice and Industry’s Choice categories. Plus, runway shows from Gail Chovan , Linda Asaf , Michelle Weisman of 81 poppies , plus other nationally recognized designers, presenters and special guests! We'll also dance the night away to the sounds of  pop violinist Josh Vietti!
