McKayla is Impressed with Hart of Dixie

2012 has been a huge year for McKayla Maroney. The 16 year old gymnast captured the hearts of the nation as a member of the Fierce Five women's gymnastics team at the London Olympics. Even a moment of disappointment (winning silver instead of gold in the vault) sparked a hilarious meme based around her image.

To make this year even bigger, McKayla will be appearing in an episode of the CW's Hart of Dixie. McKayla will star as Tonya, a friend of Rose. In an appearance on the Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda, Rachel Bilson (who stars as Zoe Hart) expressed her joy in working with McKayla and how naturally talented the young gymnast is.

Fellow Olympians Ryan Lochte and Gabrielle Douglas are set to make cameos on CW shows as well, with appearances on 90210 and The Vampire Diaries, respectively.

The second season of Hart of Dixie premieres tonight at 7 p.m. on the CW Austin.
