Fantastic Fest: Opening Night

Fantastic Fest is consistently ranked as one of the best film festivals in the country. The genre film fest celebrates many films that may fly under the radar of the mainstream. This year's event kicked off with a black carpet event for the world premiere of Disney's Frankenweenie featuring Winona Ryder, Martin Landau, and Tim Burton. Later, Dredd 3D stars Karl Urban and Olivia Thirlby gave us the inside scoop on their new film. There was even an appearance by Grandmaster Y.K. Kim, the writer, director, and star of cult classic The Miami Connection. I even got the chance to have a slow motion silly string standoff with my producer. Fantastic Fest is bringing the fun to Austin, one film at a time.
