With so many amazing runway shows during Austin Fashion Week, you’re probably wondering how anyone could pick just ONE as their absolute favorite. Well guess what, I DID! The Edgy and Eclectic Show on Thursday night was one of the most interesting and fashion forward shows of the week. Boudoir Queen opened the runway with breathtaking artwork. Watching these pieces grace the stage was stunning; I couldn’t peel my eyes away from her haunting designs. Every piece I imagined myself wearing and living in a fantasy world. It was like a forest nymph and Zorro had a theatrical baby. Fashion lovers were in awe and jumped to their feet to praise the mastermind behind the collection, Dawn Younger Smith. League of Rebels took to the runway next with dapper tailored looks for men. Turtlenecks in deep blues, reds and greens looked elegant paired with grey patterned suits. I couldn’t help but wonder why men don’t dress in fantastic suits more often. The night was closed with the retro designs of Jamie McCarty. Teals and oranges seemed to be the color scheme of choice, paired with chunky and unique jewelry. Over all is was an interesting night where fashion stood. Did you check out the Edgy and Eclectic Show, what were your favorite looks?
