Austin Fashion Week got off to a rolling start with the Shift Into Style Kickoff Event. Presented by Circuit of the Americas, the event lived up to the hype generated by COTA Vice President Sandy West . Guests entered the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum via an 82 foot red carpet that cascaded in front of authentic Formula One racecars. This was truly the intersection of fashion and Formula One Motorsports. Once inside, guests were able to bid on a silent auction benefiting the Arc of the Capital Area which featured pieces created by local designers.

Amidst a backdrop of up-tempo music, models strutted down the runway wearing the latest designs from Ross Bennett, the Danes Collection, and Keepers. There were even special appearances by Formula One Driver Alexander Rossi and First Lady of Texas Anita Perry.
